It’s a busy day today; this is my first of three posts! I’m kicking things off with full on rich autumn hues and the new October Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp! I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
I think autumn is my favorite season; cozying up in knits as the season puts on its full display of color :D So I was happy dancing when I saw the gorgeous Lawn Fawn papers included in the kit and this plaid was my favorite. I kept as much of the pattern visible on the card front by cutting a panel with the A2 Curved Edge die. The die creates interest while still allowing for plenty of the paper to show. I mounted the panel on a card base cut from the Dark Chocolate card in the kit.
To embellish I die cut a Stitched Rectangle from Ivory card and stamped the lovely ‘nuts about you’ sentiment from the Nutty Over You kit stamp set. I then stamped some of the smaller images from the set around the sentiment in Audrey Blue, Sunshine, Burnt Orange and Dark Chocolate inks. To finish I had to use the Little B acorn to top a twine bow :D
