Lots of fun and cuteness and I am very excited to see teeny tiny Sparkling Clear sequins too!
As soon as I saw the Camping Friends set the thought of a glowing moon in a night sky over a tent and camp fire had me reaching for my watercolors. Also just how cute are the critters that you can add peeking out of the bin or tent opening?! I stamped the scene with Versafine Onyx Black Ink on Arches cold pressed watercolor card, using masking paper where needed to layer the images to build the scene. It was then simply a case of a delightful few minutes layering watercolors and finishing off with some splatters, a little stickles to make the fire sparkle and a few white gel pen stars to finish.
I cut the piece with a Stitched Rectangle and mounted on a Fog card base. The sentiment is stamped in Versamark and white heat embossed and then all that was left to do was add some Sparkling Clear Sequins and a couple of rhinestones.
I’ve got another card to share as I couldn’t leave the cute Fox Friends set without some love LOL. Foxes are one of my favorite critters to color; I love the rich auburn tones and it also probably relates to the fact that two out of three of my kids have red hair! I stamped two of the foxes and the banner from the Fox Friends set in Intense Black ink and then cut out with their coordinating dies before coloring with Copics. I like to use a combination of YR23 YR24 and YR27 with warm greys added to deepen and cool down the shadows :D
I tucked the die cuts into openings from the Mini Storybook 1 die cut from a Stitched Rectangle of white card, tied with twine and a couple more of those Sparkling Clear Sequins to embellish.
The panel is backed by an ink blended piece and then mounted on a card base covered with patterned paper.
