I am delighted today to be helping Concord & 9th celebrate their first birthday! I love how on trend the Concord & 9th designs are and the owners Angie & Greg are so sweet! I thought a shaker card with the Sweet & Cool set was the perfect way to celebrate an awesome first year! This post is part of a month-long hop, more details of which are below :D All supplies are linked at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.

I started this card with the Sweet & Cool dies and cut the lolly and stick from Arches cold pressed watercolor card and colored with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers blended out with Wink Of Stella. I added lots of sprinkles in the form of sequins, seed beads and glitter. I also die cut and colored a few hearts from the Sweet & Cool dies and coated those with glossy accents. I added one of these to a twine bow on the lolly and dotted the other two on the shaker section.

For the shaker part of the card I die cut a Stitched Circle from both the front of an Ivory card base and also from a panel of Fog card. I then sandwiched a piece of vellum which I’d white heat embossed with the Tree Ring Background between the layers. I added acetate to the back of the Fog piece which I then adhered with foam adhesive but before doing so I added lots of lovely sequins and beads for the shaker.

Although it is hard to see, because I had cut a circle from the card base as well as from the Fog card, the light shines through the vellum to give a really ethereal look to the shaker – note the difference in the light shining through the upright card to that when the card is laid flat.

For the sentiment I cut the ‘SWEET’ from more watercolor card and gave the letters a light ombre treatment with the Zig Clean Color Markers and then to complete the sentiment added the ‘you’re’ from the Sweet & Cool set with white embossing powder on a Basic Banner of Slate card
