I couldn’t resist this Succulent Journaling Card from Neat & Tangled; my paint brush was just itching to get at it LOL. All supplies are linked at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
I white heat embossed the succulents on to Arches watercolor card. It’s a great image all ready and sorted for you with an inbuilt banner and a bunch of sentiments which fit perfectly. I nestled the ‘I Miss You So’ on to the banner and heat embossed with Antique Gold embossing powder.
I then pulled out my watercolors; this image was a delight to color. I had a couple of reference photos pulled up on my phone to try to get the lovely aubergine and deep green colors right and then for the lower succulent I picked a dusky blue and aubergine combo. I didn’t want the banner to dominate too much but equally it need a little definition so I picked out some blue/grey to add just a few details. Again for the background I wanted something subtle so went for a nice sandy color.
To finish the panel I trimmed around the outline of the journaling card, attached a clothes pin, twine and a few sequins and then foam mounted to a Fog card base.
