I’ve something a little different for me today – a panel colored entirely with pencils! I used the Altenew Floral Frame from the Simon Says Stamp Masterpiece Box. All supplies are linked at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
I stamped the floral group image and one leaf on the bottom of a piece of Fog card with Versamark ink and then white heat embossed. I then colored the images with Prismacolor Pencils but I wanted to create more texture and color variation instead of the Fog card. So I started by using a warm gray pencil around the images, and well it just spread from there LOL. In the end I used a few warm grays as well as a dusky blue and white for the background; love the subtle texture :D I used some Glossy Accents dots to finish.
Over the pencil panel I added a Thanks Scallop Border cut from white card. The ‘THANKS’ letters I cut from card I’d colored with a blue pencil – again this gives lots of texture and variation in the color.
A simple card but I enjoyed experimenting more with my pencils :D

Sublime , j’adore !
WOW Debby, this is gorgeous! I have definitely got to practice with my coloured pencils! AMAZING!
Hi Debby! A beautiful card – I love the look you create with coloured pencils. I’m new to the medium – and you’re always so generous in sharing information – I hope you don’t mind me sharing with you that I’ve been learning a lot at Lachri Fine Art – the artist is amazing! She colours and paints realistic animal portraits and much more. She shares a lot of information about using coloured pencils that I’ve found helpful – including her experiences with prismacolours, polychromos, and luminance, and how to use blender pencils and blending solution. I’ve also watched a couple of great tutorials at Artists Network tv (by Lee Hammond, and Jane Gildow). You are such a talented artist Debby, I always enjoy your cards – particularly your watercolour ones – and now coloured pencil! Thank you :)
Thanks for the info Cherie, I will check those places out :D

Love, love, love the background!!!
Thank you very much XX
You are such a talented card maker. I always like to see what you’re doing next. I’m going to try this pencil technique. Thanks for the inspiration.
This is beautiful. You’ve inspired me to try more coloring with colored pencils. I recently created two Christmas cards, colored this way and I did like the results.
