My amazing friend Laura Bassen tagged myself and Kristina Werner to take part in the Rainbow Card Challenge – create a card with rainbow colors and tag two friends :D Well bright rainbow colors aren’t something you see around here a lot but heck who can resist painting a rainbow! I took the opportunity to use the new Happy Days dies that match the Happy Days stamp set to create a card filled with color :D All supplies are linked at the end of this post. First off I started with the background and on a piece of Arches watercolor card I layered rainbow watercolors in a diagonal across the piece, splattered with Silver paint and when dry cut with a Stitched Rectangle. I then stamped the sun, umbrella and speech bubble from the Happy Days stamp set on scraps of Arches card and die cut with the matching dies. I added some quick watercolor washes to these with pink cheeks and foam mounted them over the rainbow panel.

I sprinkled on a couple of translucent rainbow-colored sequins from a previous Card Kit which matched perfectly and added the finished panel to an Ivory card base.

Now to continue the challenge I’d like to tag …. Yoonsun Hur because I always swoon over her coloring and Yana Smakula because I know she will rock some rainbow colors! Ultimately though I’m tagging anyone that would like to take part – use some rainbow colors and tag two friends!
