My amazing friend Laura Bassen tagged myself and Kristina Werner to take part in the Rainbow Card Challenge – create a card with rainbow colors and tag two friends :D Well bright rainbow colors aren’t something you see around here a lot but heck who can resist painting a rainbow! I took the opportunity to use the new Happy Days dies that match the Happy Days stamp set to create a card filled with color :D All supplies are linked at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
First off I started with the background and on a piece of Arches watercolor card I layered rainbow watercolors in a diagonal across the piece, splattered with Silver paint and when dry cut with a Stitched Rectangle. I then stamped the sun, umbrella and speech bubble from the Happy Days stamp set on scraps of Arches card and die cut with the matching dies. I added some quick watercolor washes to these with pink cheeks and foam mounted them over the rainbow panel.
I sprinkled on a couple of translucent rainbow-colored sequins from a previous Card Kit which matched perfectly and added the finished panel to an Ivory card base.
Now to continue the challenge I’d like to tag …. Yoonsun Hur because I always swoon over her coloring and Yana Smakula because I know she will rock some rainbow colors! Ultimately though I’m tagging anyone that would like to take part – use some rainbow colors and tag two friends!

Watercolor rainbow happiness indeed! :D Such a “Wow!” card… like usual! Thanks for sharing!
Thank :D
This card is a WOW! So pretty! And it reminds me of your previous colorful ‘thanks’ umbrella card which is one of my absolute favorites. :D I’m really drawn to rainbow watercolors. Thanks, Debby. x
Thanks Dori, it is quite similar isn’t it. I liked having the dies to separate things out more and that also makes things easier I feel :D
Its a Happy sunny card !
Thanks Pooja :D
Your rainbow “blotches” look so perfect and artfully arranged. Mine either look too structured or too blobby. Your card is so fun and rainbowy. Thanks so much.
Thanks Beverly, if it’s any consolation I did another one which wasn’t as nicely blotchy LOL :D
The rainbow background looks great & the sun & umbrella cute!
Thanks Karen :D
Love, love, love this. Simply beautiful as always.
Thanks Teri :D
