I’m delighted to say that the postie finally gave up my Dads & Grads package LOL. So straight away I was in there searching out that cute fishy from the Father’s Day Finds set! All supplies are linked at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
For guy cards I like to keep things simple and to the point. I think I’ve mentioned before that my husband won’t send a birthday card unless it says happy birthday on it! So keeping that in mind I went with a ‘does what it says on the tin’ design LOL. I grabbed for my go to favorite guy color combination of Sunshine, Orange Peel, Spring Rain, Jellybean and Smoke and stamped the sentiment from Father’s Day Finds repeatedly across the bottom of a white panel. I left three little gaps to nestle the die cut fishes. These and the fishing rod are stamped in Intense Black ink, die cut with their matching dies and Copic colored.
I nestled the fish in to the gaps in the sentiments, foam mounting them so they stood out and dressed them up in Wink Of Stella and wiggle eyes. The fishing rod is again attached with foam adhesive and I added some glossy accents to the float. I did sneak a couple of toning sequins on too – guys can do sequins too can’t they?!
