I’ve always loved yellow and grey together. Well it seems that adding in navy is the way to bring this classic color scheme right up to date. Spring navy it seems is in!

My watercolors still live front and centre on my desk and were perfect for adding a little color to the Lacy Flower set from Waffle Flower. This post contains affiliate links. You can read my affiliate and product disclosure here.
Firstly I stamped the image in Versamark ink on Arches watercolor card and white heat embossed before painting. Once dry I trimmed out close to the embossed line and then foam mounted on a Stitched Rectangle of watercolor card. To accent I white heat embossed the Tiny Alphabet Background from Simon Says Stamp on Fog card and die cut with a Stitched Tag before accenting with sequins, button and twine.
The tag is mounted over the Lacy Flower along with a banner cut from Soft Navy card which provided the perfect spot to add the Celebrate Word die cut. I finished off by mounting the card on a Fog card base.
One last thing before I go, it’s almost time for the May Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp. I know I say this often, but you are going to love this one! It has an amazing stamp set designed by Kristina Werner and some patterned papers that were the hit of the show at CHA … Here’s a peek at a card I’ve made with the stamp set. I will be back to show you the full reveal on Thursday 14th April :D
You can subscribe to this (no obligation) card kit of the month program for $24.95 plus shipping and handling. Kits can also be purchased individually from 14th of the month at Simon Says Stamp store for $29.95 plus Shipping and Handling where you can also buy many of the elements of the kit separately.

I’ve always loved grey and yellow. Loving how the navy goes with them Karen :D
Yellow and navy, eh? Well, it worked in 1976 so I guess there’s no reason it shouldn’t work in 2016 ;-)
Bringing back the favorites!
Great colour scheme. So bright & cheery. Beautiful card.
Thanks Amanda :D
