It’s the start of Clearly Besotted sneak peeks and what better way than to introduce the new sets than with a card of cascading monkeys! The new sets, including this Cheeky Monkey set, will release on 05 April at 10pm UK time (5pm EST) at Clearly Besotted and Simon Says Stamp. This post contains affiliate links. I seem to be plumbing for simple colored cards recently whether Copic colored or watercolored and you guys seem to agree that simple cards are just perfect! I stamped the two lower monkeys in Intense Black on Neenah Solar White then masked them so that I could add in the tree branch and then stamped the final monkey and made sure everything was masked off before blending in Sea Glass ink for a light background.
Then I set to with Copics and some simple shading with cute little white signo gel pen dots on the cheeks. I cut the finished panel with a Stitched Rectangle, stamped the sentiment in Intense Black and then mounted on a Desert Storm card base before adding a few sequins to finish :D

This is so cute ! My grandaughter will love this set she adores monkeys. You say its a simple card but thats a lot of masking, so worth it though…Fab card :)
