My aim with this watercolored scene was to create a card which could be used for Easter but could equally be used for other occasions too. The Springtime Critters set has egg images but by omitting these I think this card could be used more generally. Probably the images would still suit a spring occasion, we are talking baby bunnies after all LOL but it’s good to get the most mileage out of our purchases :D
I’ve been busy on a couple of projects behind the scenes and this card was my reward for a long session on the computer; watercoloring is so relaxing for me :D I stamped the images from Springtime Critters in Versafine Onyx Black on Arches watercolor card and spent a lovely half an hour pootling with my watercolor palette.
Once dry I die cut the panel with a Stitched Rectangle and mounted on a Neenah Desert Storm card base. Usually I use Fog card as a good neutral card base, however, this scene had me pulling out my kraft cardstock. This in turn inspired me to use a wood slice I picked up to photograph the card. I mentioned the other day the great photos that Wanda Guess takes, well another card maker I feel drawn to the photographs of is Elena Roussakis who always captures a lovely natural feel to her photographs :D
