I love using patterns and the new Reason To Smile release is filled with fabulous patterns from ginghams to stripes, swirls and polka dots:
For my card today I couldn’t resist placing the cute sheep from Melody’s Easter among green gingham hills and peach clouds!
I stamped the sheep from Melody’s Easter in Intense Black and die cut with the matching die before a light coloring with Copics. I also die cut the clouds from Cloudy Skies having first stamped them in Sea Glass, Melon and Fog inks. For the hills I inked up the fabulous large Gingham Background with Green Leaf ink and then die cut with the A2 Card Curved Edge die for a nice rounded hill.
All the elements are mounted on a panel blended with Sea Glass and Melon inks to give a nice early morning glow and then splattered with paints and Perfect Pearls for extra interest. For the sentiment I partially die cut a Talk Bubbles 2 die and then stamped that cute ‘baaah!’ in Intense Black. Everything is mounted with foam adhesive on a white card base and I added a few sequins to finish oh and a die cut watercolored heart left over from this project :D
You can check out the The Reason To Smile release here. Tomorrow there’s lots of fun with a big blog hop to celebrate the new release so please call by to catch up on all the fun :D

I love the pattern stamps and how you used them for this card. The colors are
soft but stand out. I love your techniques.

Can’t believe that gingham is a stamp!
Gorgeous isn’t it! I use a Misti to get a really good impression with background stamps :D
Too cute!

Hello, my name is Luis! I love how well you’ve played with your colours. The orange shade behind the sheep makes it a well balanced card. What I like the most is that colour combo! Thank you for the inspiration. Luis, chinchillidae@gmail.com
