The Simon Says Stamp March card kit has been released today and it is such a sure-fire winner! Fun peeps stamp set, matching die, hot of the press Tim Holtz Distress Crayon, two watercolor printed cards and the most adorable Spring papers from Echo Park. Oh and there are sequins and not forgetting the toning card stock. Seriously jam-packed and I’m in no doubt that this kit will fly off the shelves.

I’m not sure if you noticed but the Echo Park papers have spring plaid! I was doing a little happy dance when I saw that and had to make the most of the papers with a couple of little treat pillow boxes. I don’t use a lot of paper on my projects generally so when a paper range really makes me smile I find making packaging is a great way for me to indulge in the prettiness :D I used an old style big Sizzix pillow box die but I don’t see that in store now, however, there are lots of alternatives.

Having cut two pillow boxes from plaid and polka dot paper I was able to squeeze a Stitched Oval die cut out of the 6×6 pieces too. On top of each oval I cut a white rabbit with the My Kind Of Peep dies. The dies match the stamp set but I just wanted to keep things really clean and simple so left the die cut plain white and just added a patterned paper bow. For the sentiment I used the My Kind Of Peep stamp set and white heat embossed the Hoppy Easter sentiment on to a lightly patterned green paper and then trimmed in to a banner.

Each of the layers is foam mounted on the next with the sentiment positioned across the rabbits tummies :D
