Delineating layers of similar color can be tricky but vellum to the rescue once again! By cutting a note page of vellum backed by a circle of card the centre piece of this card stands out from background :D As part of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge I’d white heat embossed the Doodle Background on Arches watercolor card and watercolored with a combination of Alizarin Crimson and Aureolin – where the two met they blended into oranges and peaches :D When dry I die cut the panel with a Stitched Rectangle.
I also watercolored some scraps of card in the two colors and then die cut them with Love Bouquet. I set the hearts in the same die cut but this time cut from Ivory card. The background and focal point looked lovely together but both having lots of detail they did rather compete with each other. So cutting a piece of vellum with a notebook edge separated the focal point from the background slightly. I also backed the vellum with a Stitched Circle of Ivory card to further delineate the layers.
The sentiment from Big Add Ons is stamped in Versamark on Black card and white heat embossed before trimming out. The final touch was a few sequins scattered around and then mounting the panel on a top folding Ivory card base.
