I mentioned a little about the Lasting Hearts Card Drive in my last post and you can also read all about the Lasting Hearts charity and fundraiser that Kimberly Saldana started to give support to those that have lost a child to miscarriage at her Give Forward page.
Kimberly has joined forces with Hero Arts, Simon Says Stamp and Jennifer McGuire to raise awareness and funds for Lasting Hearts. 25 % of profits from the Prayers Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp collaborative set will be donated to the charity. You can also make a direct donation yourself and finally if you would like to help there is a card drive ongoing also.
On a white Stitched Rectangle I used the Prayers sentiment in Intense Black ink layered over flowers from the Many Thanks set stamped in Duckling, Sunshine, Rosie Cheeks, Hot Lips, Catkin and Olive to create a set of cards to send in to the card drive. For once I used the Misti to aid in making multiples (usually I just use it for getting really good stamped impressions) but it was so easy to whip these cards together. Oh and at CHA I saw that there’s a Mini Misti due out too :D
I added hearts from the Prayers set in Rosie Cheeks and then mounted the panels on Fog card bases. Sequins for once didn’t seem appropriate so I left the panels clean and simple but I did make toning envelopes from 12×12 Bazzill card.
I wrapped each card and envelope in a glassine bag and tucked them into a clear box so that they will be well protected and easy to hand out to the OBGYNs for when they are needed.
If you would like to take part in the card drive or equally make a donation then you can find all the details here.
