The February card kit from Simon Says Stamp is a delicious mix of traditional valentines pinks, reds and hearts :D I’m waiting on the kit to arrive and will delve in there with glee when it does and the packing and washing from CHA have been sorted! The kit has a fabulous stamp set along with cute heart dies and these are mixed with a selection of items from Crate Paper’s Hello Love collection: papers, epoxy stickers, ombre stickers and heart sequins.
You can subscribe to this (no obligation) card kit of the month program for $24.95 plus shipping and handling. Kits can also be purchased individually at Simon Says Stamp store for $29.95 plus Shipping and Handling where you can also buy many of the elements of the kit separately. Clicking here takes you directly to this February edition of the kit :D
CHA
Talking of CHA, I had an amazing time! There was so much inspiration and so many people to hug! I saw old friends, made new ones and regrettably didn’t get to meet everyone. I posted on social media, mainly Instagram, as that was easy for me to do from my phone. I thought taking the big camera was going to be a problem and didn’t take it with me, deciding that my phone would be enough under the harsh lighting conditions of an exhibition hall. However, on hindsight that was a mistake and I so wish I had!
Here’s a wee look at some of the things I spotted and loved. It’s just a small sampling there were so many!
PINEAPPLES
Pineapples were cropping up everywhere on my travels; a fabulous example was this die from Hero Arts (photo from the peek shown on their blog) and this ultra shiny gold pineapple washi from Little B.
Do you want to get ahead of the game? Here’s some gorgeous pineapples already out in the wild :D

FLAMINGOS
Flamingos were also evident throughout CHA; lovely watercolors and flamingos from Cosmo Cricket and the On Trend 2 paper range from My Mind’s Eye is gorgeous! I’ve been a MME fan for a long time and their display at CHA was amazing; I really think they’ve upped their game this year.
Again here’s some flamingo’s which you can get your hands on now :D

COLOR
One of my favorite color combinations I saw was coral, aqua, black and gold (my yellow swatch isn’t very gold-like LOL). The My Mind’s Eye On Trend 2 collection I mentioned above is based on these colors with a nice green thrown in. I loved seeing the staple patterns also taking on these colors such as the Gold Foil Dots Collection from Echo Park. They also did the same colors with silver foiled dots if gold isn’t your thing ;)
Another collection which drew my eye with these colors was DIY Home by Pebbles Inc.
This collection is already out and you can see some items here.
I will keep posting photos and inspiration from CHA over the coming blog posts but it would be too long a post to include all in one!
SNOW
I’ll leave you with some photographs of my return home – from the sun and palm trees of California to a little Scottish snow!
Bye for now and back to the unpacking for me but I will be back soon with a hop to celebrate Pretty Pink Posh’s 2nd birthday. Here’s a little sneak peek.
Love this post Debby – and there isn’t even a card from you lol. The colour combo you show is gorgeous I agree and I love the snowy photos from your home.
Totally in love with the photographs! Hope you enjoyed CHA, and recover soon!
Thank you for sharing those items from CHA. Loving the flamingos.
Glad you enjoyed your visit t CHA. Love the new look blog!
Love the Sc Love the Scottish snow!!!
I love how you organized the CHA trends. I don’t want to claim to be ahead of the curve, but there are a few of my favorites in there! Thanks for sharing all that eye candy.
Sounds like you’ve got an eye for trends :D
I am so jealous of your snow! We haven’t gotten any here where I live, which isn’t unusual for us, but I was really hoping for a little snow this year. Love this post and thanks for linking to these great products!
