I hope you are having a wonderful Holiday season. At this time of year it is always good to have some cards for Holiday thanks on hand. I used the papers from the January Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp to make Holiday thanks quick and easy to whip up.
I cut the On Edge Thank You from an aqua Doodlebug paper and layered a strip of plaid before adding a deep blue snowflake paper to make up the rest of the front panel. This is foam mounted on a white card base so the thank you letter hover slightly off the card front.
For a really quick card, the papers are so yummy you could leave it at that but I added a little focal point by cutting more of the aqua paper with a Stitched Circle and white heat embossing one of the snowflakes from the Cute Snowflakes set. I added a twine bow and a rhinestone before foam mounting to one side and sprinkling some sequins around.
You can subscribe to this (no obligation) card kit of the month program for $24.95 plus shipping and handling. Kits can also be purchased individually at Simon Says Stamp store for $29.95 plus Shipping and Handling where you can also buy many of the elements of the kit separately. I’m going to keep it brief as I’m hoping the weather stays dry enough to get a walk in today. We need to blow the cobwebs away and work off some of the food we’ve enjoyed :D

This color combo is lucious. Makes for the perfect post-Christmas thank you or even birthday card.
I love how these colours look together, SO pretty. (Had to pin it!)
Happy New Year Debby!
And to you Teresa! Hope you have nice plans :D
Love your card! The colors you chose make it so pretty!
Hi Debby! I hope you had a lovely Christmas. We are still “blowing out the cobwebs”,lol. Your new card is sweet. I love the way you combine patterned papers and embellishments without making it look overdone. I laughed when I read that you said “you could leave it at that” I thought to myself, yes you could, but Debby wont. I always love your cards.
I hope you took your walk and had a nice time. you post the loveliest pictures of your walks. Do you live close to the lovely mountains and that castle? I was named after a lake in Scotland. The Loch Katrine. my mother was reading a book, before I was born. I wish I had gotten to Scotland and England while we lived in Germany. I had a ruptured appendix instead. (lol, not a fair trade)
so nice to see your cards. hugs, treen
Hi Treen, yes the walks we’ve been taking are lovely. The castle you saw on IG is about half an hour from us, and Loch Katrine is only an hour away and we’ve been a few times :D The scenery here is beautiful when the weather behaves enough to let you out in it LOL.Oh and ruptured appendix – nasty!!!
Great card, I love the colour combination.
I hope you & yours have had a happy, healthy Christmas. All the best for 2016!
Love learning about your work through the blog hop!
