A friend’s daughter turns 18 today and giraffes, pink and ‘awesome’ are favourites. The Party Animal set from Wplus9 with its cute giraffe was going to be in order for this one. I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black and die cut with the matching dies before Copic coloring. I also stamped and die cut the huge balloon and colored that a hot pink before adding the number 18 cut from gold glitter card with the Simple Numbers dies from Simon Says Stamp.
Having got the giraffe and pink boxes ticked I now wanted to build in a little awesome, as you can’t have too much awesome when you are turning 18! I used the Absolutely die cut from glitter card along with the awesome from the On Edge stamp set stamped in Hot Lips. Unfortunately both this die and stamp set seem to be retired now. I don’t usually use retired stock as I know people sometimes want to pick up the same products but on this occasion these fit perfectly with the space I had.
All the elements are mounted on a panel of Neenah Solar White card blended with Sea Glass ink and splattered with Gansai Tambi paints and Perfect Pearls before finishing off with a few sequins.
This card is now on it’s way but the mail is so terribly slow at the moment; the Holiday Card Kit sent from Simon Says Stamp 2 weeks ago hasn’t arrived yet :(
