In between the rain showers today I managed to take a few photos of this card using the December Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp. I was intrigued to try the Rainbow Embossing Glitter included in the kit and combined this with the lovely graphic tree image from the Gifts Of Love stamp set to stamp a Fog, Lake Shores and glitter forest.

On a panel of white card I started with the two dye inks first, stamping a random pattern but leaving space for three glitter trees. These are stamped in Versamark, sprinkled with the Rainbow Embossing Glitter then heat set. The body of the glitter is clear embossing powder which when heat set traps the glitter flecks inside so no messy glitter falling off your card later on :D In Lipstick Red ink I stamped the sentiment so it overlapped the trees slightly.

I couldn’t resist using the cute critter from the Gifts Of Love set again. Initially I thought it was a dog, but after great debate where it was suggested to be a cat, mouse and fox I think the general consensus was cat :D So I stamped the cat and presents directly on the panel with Memento Tuxedo Black and then stamped them again on spare white card, colored with Copics and trimmed out. To give a finished look I blacked the cut edges with a Memento marker before glueing on top of the stamped images on the panel. This way I had the images overlaying the forest but you still had the nice details of the scarf trim and bow on the present. Oh and I also stamped and colored part of Dexter the pig from Simon & Dexter Christmas so I could borrow his santa hat!

To finish I added a couple of strips of the PinkFresh Studio patterned paper, stickers and sequins from the kit before foam mounting the panel on a top folding Fog card base.
