I’m on a Christmas packaging kick at the moment and today is all about simple translucent Christmas packaging. I love glassine envelopes and these ones from Simon Says Stamp make quick and simple packaging with just a few touches to dress them up. I’m using two new sets from Clearly Besotted, the punny Merry Kissmas and the elegant Christmas Poinsettia.
For my first glassine envelope I had to play with this punny sentiment from Merry Kissmas! A strawberry lipsalve to ward off dry winter lips seemed a good option to go with the mistletoe and sentiment LOL and makes a fun gift to slip in to a stocking.
The Mistletoe is stamped in Green Leaf and cut out with the matching die and then I layered the ‘pucker up’ sentiment over the top stamped in Lipstick Red and trimmed out. A twine bow and a couple of sequins dressed things up a little.
From punny to elegant in one swoop with the poinsettia from Christmas Poinsettia stamped in Versamark on vellum three times and white heat embossed. I then selectively trimmed out the layers and used clear foam adhesive to adhere and give a little dimension.
The poinsettia is accented with Star Dust stickles and a cluster of pearls then mounted over a twine bow on a glassine envelope with one of the sentiments from the set gold heat embossed in the corner.
The new Clearly Besotted sets will go live at Clearly Besotted and Simon Says Stamp at 10pm UK time (5pm EST) on 5th October. In the meantime check out Stephanie’s blog for more inspiration and links to the rest of the team :D

Fantabulous! What a sweet idea, love the translucent envelop with gorgeous stamping!
WOW! These are so cute and that poinsettia looks AMAZING! If I got a gift in these I don’t know that I would even want to open them…I’d be too busy staring at the gorgeous packaging. =)
Love this. I love vellum and white period.
