Ugh, the dreaded teen boy cards! Can’t be pretty, mushy, too colorful, cute, fussy ….. however you may get approval if you keep it clean, simple with one or two pops of color, oh and preferably sports or car related LOL.
I had two teen boys to make for, different families but born on the same day, and to make quick work of it I used the Sports Planner set which is filled with all sorts of sports options.
Both boys play for the local rugby club so I picked their team colors to accent the cards. One lad is more of a general sports player though so I picked a range of balls for him and stamped them in Versafine Onyx Black, Sunshine, Fog, Lipstick Red and Sparrow and die cut with their matching dies. These are layered over a label of patterned paper (an older Teresa Collins line, Something Wonderful) on a Fog card base with a few enamel dots and twine to finish.
The other lad concentrates mainly on his rugby so I spread the die cuts over a large tag cut from patterned paper and accented with the number 9 (the position he plays) cut from Schoolhouse Red card with the Number Blocks. Again enamel dots and twine to finish.
I couldn’t resist pulling the colors from the cards with a couple of matching envelopes using some of my old 12×12 Bazzill stash. I hope this didn’t overload the color too much for them LOL!

Debby, these cards are a great HR hit out of the park. I am more of a baseball fan, wink wink. Have been away from your blog for too long due to a heavy workload and deadlines. Looking forward to catching up. Enjoy the autumn . This is also my favorite season. Cheers!
Welcome back Maye, hope things aren’t too chaotic for you.
