This week should be called ‘Card Kit Week’ as this is my third post with the new November Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp. My first post concentrated on the Pebbles Inc papers and chips included in the kit whereas my second post looked at the included stamp set, Apple Of My Pie. Today is a little of both, layering patterned papers from the kit as a back drop to a die cut and stamped circle.

I do love a good apple and stamped the image from Apple Of My Pie in Memento Tuxedo Black then masked it before stamping the apple pie. This way the apple took centre stage. I coloured the images with Copics and then die cut a Stitched Circle around them before giving the apple a thick coat of Glossy Accents and the pie a layer of Rock Candy Distress Glitter.

I love the fact the glitter looks like sugar on the pie, oh and also it disguises my less than perfect coloring – how do you color apple pie filling LOL. For the sentiment I stamped the banner from the set in Duckling ink and the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black and then trimmed out and layered with foam adhesive over the circle die cut.

I covered a top folding Ivory card base with layers of Pebbles patterned papers, then wrapped with twine tied in a bow before adding the die cut circle with foam adhesive. A few Echo Park enamel dots added pops of color to finish.
