The Merry Christmas Ornament die was an immediate favourite for me. Not only is it one of the most outstandingly gorgeous and intricate dies I’ve seen but I knew it would make quick and easy tags and cards as a die cut overlay; die cut, adhere it to the backing of your choice, trim out, done!

I simply cut the Merry Christmas Ornament die from white card and then used Ranger Multi Medium Matte and a pin to dot glue on the back of the die cut before adhering to red glitter card. I placed a piece of paper over the top and gave it a good rub to make sure it was securely glued down and left to dry before cutting around the circle to remove any excess glitter card and finishing with a little Baker’s Twine. The glitter card I used was an old one from my stash but I’ve had the DCWV glitter card before which is fabulous and there is a pack with lots of lovely jewel colours in it.

This would make a great tag for a parcel or gift bag but as the diameter is 3 3/4 inches then it is also large enough to be a card too :D

The glitter card option was very quick to make and another alternative is to back the ornament with patterned paper. I just added a little Star Dust Stickles around the snowflakes.

Of course you can always go to town on a background; here I blended Distress Inks in Broken China, Stormy Sky and Chipped Sapphire before splattering with a solution of Perfect Pearls. To accent I added a few sequins and crystals.

Well it’s going to be a rollercoaster of a month! Check out all the STAMPtember goodies here and then fasten your seat belt for a month-long celebration. I will be back tomorrow with a hop to get the party started :D
