Repeat stamping is a simple technique for taking a smaller image you love and making it centre stage. I have to admit I’m a sucker for a good leaf LOL so when I saw the gorgeous Winnie & Walter Big Bloom collaborative STAMPtember set it was the lovely leaf I was drawn to.

I used the Misti stamping tool to help me line the leaf up in the centre of a panel of Canson watercolor card, stamped in Versamark moved the card over 4 squares on the Misti gridded paper and stamped again. I repeated this for the third leaf to get a perfectly aligned and spaced repeat.

The leaves are gold heat embossed and then loosely watercolored with Gansai Tambi paints. I used greens, and teals with touches of mustard and brown to bring about an autumnal feel and once dry splattered with Gold Heidi Swapp Color Shine.

The sentiment is a combination of the Big Blooms ‘merci’ circle stamped in High Dive and die cut with a Nested Circle and the ‘my friend’ from Oh Happy Day stamped in Versamark and gold heat embossed. Finally the panel is mounted on a Fog card base and a few enamel dots scattered around.
