You’ve got to love liquid masking, it makes life so much easier when masking small areas like the leaves in this new Newton’s Nook collaborative STAMPtember Hello Fall set. I did mask the same scene with masking paper but when blending the ink background the little pieces started to lift with the friction of the blending tool. However, the liquid masking stayed put beautifully :D

So Today’s STAMPtember feature is this Hello Fall set from Newton’s Nook with three cute critters to color along with some supporting images too.

I stamped the scene in Memento Tuxedo Black and then covered all the images with Fineline Masking Fluid. Once dry I blended in an array of Simon Says Inks (Cotton Candy, Pale Blush Pink, Melon, Lake Shores, Catkin, Olive and Orange Peel) using the Tim Holtz mini foam blender tool and then splattered some Gansai Tambi paint too before rubbing away the masking fluid to reveal the white card below ready for coloring.

I chose some simple Copic colouring, with a shade or two of each colour to give shading and dimension and then added some highlights of Star Dust stickles.

The sentiment is stamped in Sparrow and I added a few sequins to finish the panel which is then mounted on a top folding Neenah Desert Storm card base.
