I’ve got a jam-packed, picture heavy post for you today! It’s all part of the fun to celebrate the Hero Arts Launch Party Blog Hop! Hopefully you’ve come here from the hilarious and oh so talented Laura Bassen but if not then why not start at the beginning from the Hero Arts blog :D

Hero Arts Blog Hop

More on the blog hop below but let’s get back to some projects. For me, clean and simple Christmas projects have to pack a punch while not taking too long to make. The Merry Cactus To You set is modern, on trend and makes it perfect for quick clean and simple cards.

I started out by stamping the cactus in Memento Tuxedo Black, die cutting with the matching dies and Copic colouring. The cactus pot is stamped in Cerulean with a little Navy stamped again on one side to give shading.

To a top folding card base I stamped the sentiment with Ombre Light Ruby to Royal Red, gave a splatter of Butter Bar spray and a couple of lines of stitching before foam mounting the cactus and pot above. Finally I added a little Wink Of Stella and Glossy Accents to the Christmas lights. This card would be so easy to make multiples of :D

Mixing things up a bit from modern to classic clean and simple – white and neutrals with a little gold embossing is so such a lovely way to decorate parcels for Christmas. I wrapped a white box with a roughly torn strip of linen, tied with a white ribbon and finished with a the beautiful Winter Cheer Tag.

The tag is die cut from white card and the greeting gold embossed across the middle. A couple of pearls and a wood veneer star finished things off :D So simple and yet such a lovely way to dress a parcel to a loved one.
