Today I’m experimenting with gold watercoloring using a set of Gansai Tambi paints and the gorgeous multi-faceted heart from Neat & Tangled’s new Heart of Gold set. When I started playing with the Heart of Gold set I initially gold heat embossed the image before painting. Isn’t that gorgeous just on its own! However, I really wanted to paint with the gold watercolor included in the large set of Gansai Tambi paints. When I did the gold-on-gold lost some of the multi-faceted look so I changed things up and white heat embossed on Canson watercolor card which allowed the image to shine along with that gorgeous gold paint!
The sentiment is white heat embossed on black card, trimmed out and adhered over a swirl of silver thread. I added a few sequins, a couple of gems, mounted on a fog card base and called it done; I didn’t want to distract anymore from that shimmering heart :D

Hi Debby ~ You’re so right, the gold on gold seemed like it would meld things together too much and the white heat embossing and the gold paint look absolutely stunning together. The addition of the silver thread and the sequins add a lovely finishing to the already gorgeous card. Thanks for sharing your talent with the rest of us!
