So how do you make the sentiment become more of the design? This tag uses the Heartfelt Wishes set from Mama Elephant and the combination of being able to die cut the stamped sentiment and then adding a layer of Glossy Accents, à la Jennifer McGuire, really makes the sentiment stand out and become part of the design rather than an after thought.
Melania Deasy has revived my love of misted/splattered backgrounds with her ink blended and watercolor splashes so I started with a Large Tag cut from white card, blended in Sea Glass and Lake Shores inks and then splattered with Gansai Tambi paints. I stamped the ‘thanks’ sentiment from Heartfelt Wishes in Hero Arts Ombre light to dark pink ink and die cut with the matching dies before giving that thick coat of Glossy Accents. Once dry I foam mounted it on the tag with the matching sentiment stamped in black below.
The perfect accompaniment to this sentiment had to be one of the little dogs from Playful Pups; he’s stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, die cut with the matching dies and colored with Copics.
You can find the new Mama Elephant sets both Mama Elephant and Simon Says Stamp.

Thanks for sharing this adorable tag. I love the glossy sentiment and the great background. That little pup steals my heart each time I see it. Lovely job!
Beautifully created tag. Love the dog, love the glossy accents, love the splatters. I love everything about this tag. It is just simply gorgeous!
