A white heat embossed background on a neutral colour really adds subtle interest and texture to a card while still letting the focal point shine and boy what a cutie is this cat from Hero Arts Playful Animal set! Is this tabby a tiger or perhaps all cats are tigers at heart!

I stamped the cat with my Misti several times with Memento Tuxedo Black to give a really black outline. I’ve been using my Misti a lot for that; just simply getting the perfect stamped impression. I then die cut with the matching Playful Animal dies, coloured with Copics and added a few extra glitter stripes with a Sakura Gelly Roll pen.

He’s mounted on a Stitched Circle of Lawn Fawn paper and the sentiment from Animal Messages stamped in Ombre Ink tucked in to the side. This little focal point is then added to the card panel which is cut from Fog card and the Irregular Arrow Bold Prints by Lia stamped in Versamark and white heat embossed.

I swiped the Ombre ink pad across white card and then die cut a few hearts, popped them up on foam adhesive and covered them in Glossy Accents. Oh and there’s a couple of pink pearl accents too. I love how cute this little kitty is and I also don’t seem to be able to get enough of white heat embossing backgrounds on Fog card; you can see more examples here, here and here.
