Oh the colours in the Simple Stories papers from the Simon Says Stamp August Card Kit just scream summer don’t they?! We aren’t talking the sherbet ice cream colours of summer but the deep rich sunkist colours of a hot summer sunset, salty and sandy from a good day at the beach :D And the wording on that paper – perfect! I just had to tuck Abby from the Pool Play set on there.
I stamped Abby in Memento Tuxedo Black on Neenah Solar White, die cut with the matching Summer Fun dies and coloured with Copics, then accented her swimsuit with White Enamel Accents. She’s popped up on the Simple Stories paper and more from the kit tucked in and layered behind. Once she was securely in place I coated the snorkel mask and rubber ring in two coats of Glossy Accents for extra shine so that she floated nicely while bobbing in and out of those waves LOL.
The sentiment from the Flip Flop season is stamped in Burnt Orange, trimmed, cut into a banner shape and foam mounted. The panel is then accented with an October Afternoon puffy sticker and some of the Martha Stewart glitter shapes before mounting on a top folding White card base.
