The Happy Mail set from Wplus9 is another cute and fabulous stamp set I’ve had for a little while but the craziness of the holidays prevented me from getting inky and I’m so glad to have finally corrected that. I used some simple masking to create this scene; on Neenah Solar White I first stamped the bear and rabbit in Memento Tuxedo Black then masked off their paws before stamping the banner. While the rabbit was masked I also stamped the tree trunk and then it was just a case of colouring with Copics. Having coloured in the characters I wasn’t quite sure how to complete the background but in the end went with colouring around everything with my markers to create a simple background which let the cuties shine.

I mounted the panel on Lawn Fawn patterned papers and added a banner of one of them too which is accented with a couple of enamel dots and a twine bow.

The ‘happy’ banner makes up the first part of the sentiment and I completed it by stamping the ‘birthday to you!’ from Strictly Sentiments 1 in Black on White card and trimming to a ribbon end. Finally the panel is mounted on a White card base.

I love the summer holidays with my kids and I love crafting …. only wish there was a way to not let one interfere with the other LOL.
