I was playing around with some bits and bobs on my desk when I started grouping them together to create layered texture. I love doing this especially when all the pieces work together to make a lovely focal point. Just on that one little corner of card there’s dry embossing, heat embossing, glitter card, vellum and enamel dots all creating different textures and interest.

Working from the front to the back, the Painted Hello die is cut from glitter card and layered over a die cut Stitched Circle. This in turn is layered over a leaf I had left over from an old Online Card Class (yes, I am a hoarder!). I used an Autumn Flowers die  inked with Bundled Sage, Peeled Paint and Forest Moss before stamping with Milo’s ABC’s in Forest Moss.  The leaf is layered over Fog card embossed with Kaisercraft Flourish embossing Folder and cut with a Stitched Circle.

I tucked in two Calliope Flourishes, one cut from vellum and one from more glitter card. The collage is then mounted on a Fog panel white heat embossed with the Tiny Alphabet Background and on to a top folding White card base.

This card is very different to my last post which was very clean and simple. However, both concentrate on a single focal point with white space around. Which is your favourite? CAS or layered?
