Layered die cuts are such a fun and easy way to add interest to your cards. I’m using new inks, stamps and dies from Simon Says Stamp as part of a blog hop to celebrate the new Splash Of Color release. There’s lots of fun today with a hop to celebrate the new Simon Says Stamp Splash Of Color release! More details on the hop below but for now let’s jump to the card. Yesterday I made a card where I dipped waves inked with Lake Shores in Distress Glitter and I couldn’t resist doing the same today! Again I blended Lake Shores ink in to White card and then this time die cut with the fun layered Splashy Waves dies before dunking in the glitter – so cute!

I added a sailboat from the Sail Away set stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and die cut with the matching Set Sail dies. This was then Copic coloured and tucked in to the waves along with a Heidi Swapp sticker. A twine bow and couple of Enamel Dots finished the layered die cuts focal point.

The gorgeous sentiment from the Sail Away set is stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, trimmed out and mounted over the sailboat panel. Finally everything is mounted on a Fog card base. Before I go here’s a peek at the card I made yesterday and also within that post I share swatches of the new ink colours compared to others in the Simon range.
