I’m a sucker for a good gift box! The Lawn Fawn Milk Carton makes it super easy to make too. I cut two of the die cuts from patterned paper, adhered them together and made up the box. Before adhering the last side though I did use a punch to add a hole on the back for a straw to poke through as I thought that would be easier to do while I had a flat piece to work on. The box really is simple to construct and there is even a self-closing flap on the base which means you don’t need to add glue there if you don’t want to. Making the boxes out of patterned paper not only makes them cute but also uses up a little of that paper mountain I’m sure we all have! I know I do; I always love to get a few new paper pads every now and then and use a little on my projects but there’s normally lots left over which is great for gift boxes, wrapping and envelopes.
Once the gift box was made up it was time to decorate! I cut a Stitched Circle from more patterned paper and then stamped out the cute fox from the Lawn Fawn Party Animal set in Memento Tuxedo Black on white card, die cut with the matching Party Animal dies and coloured with Copics. I also did the same for the balloon from the set and after colouring added a thick layer of Glossy Accents.
For the tag, I cut a Stitched Tag from white card, stamped the sentiment from Party Animal in Black and then punched two holes in the top of the Milk Carton and threaded the through with Lawn Fawn Tangerine twine.

Oh my goodness, how cute is THIS??? I have some of the striped straws … will have to make some of these for the grands.
Supper cute project Debby. I love that printed paper from Lawn Fawn with the banners I wish I could find some of it. It all looks great.
Your box is just too cute! Love the little fox, and paper too…
Charming…such a terrific idea. And, of course, perfectly colored and assembled.
Super cute!
