You’ve probably seen all the brightly coloured summer cards popping up made with the August Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp. I’ve certainly made a couple of bright, happy cards with it here and here, however it’s easy to mix this kit up and take things from the heat of summer to subtle card. I stamped the Hello sentiment from the Flip Flop Season stamp set in Versamark ink on Smoke card and White heat embossed. I then cut the panel with a Wavy Scallop Stitches die and layered this over one of the Simple Stories papers included in the kit.
I die cut the You from glitter card and adhered over the sentiment and added an October Afternoon puffy heart sticker and a few sequins. The completed panel is then mounted on an Ivory top folding card base.
Well, I’m now going to delve into the chaos which is my little one attempting to tidy up and clear out his room. As the youngest of three he has inherited all the toys from his older brother and sister and now he is an age to want to let those go … out of his room and on to the landing LOL. I now need to sort through everything and work out what really needs to go. Wish me luck!!

Love the subtlety and the clean lines. Even with the scalloped edge it looks streamlined. Lovely.
