During the recent Mask-erade Online Card Class, Kristina Werner made this really cool balloon card with lots of colourful watercolouring and when I saw the fabulous animal balloons in the new Clearly Besotted Best Birthday set I knew I needed to give it a go. I stamped the balloons with Versafine Onyx Black ink on Tim Holtz watercolor card and clear heat embossed. This gives nice glossy images with slightly raised lines which are easy to watercolour around. I laid down a wash of water around the balloons first and then added Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers and Spiced Marmalade by tapping them on an acrylic block, picking up the colour with a damp paint brush and touching it to the wet card.

For the sentiment I used Versamark ink, white heat embossed on Black card and trimmed to a banner shape on one side before adhering to the panel with foam adhesive and this in turn was added to a top folding White card base.

Of course no party is complete without a dose of sequins and for once I resisted the urge to add just a few and scattered a pile on there LOL.

    My heart went pitty-pat when I first saw these sweet balloon animals. So adorable but, then, you showcase them so perfectly with your watercoloring. Such a darling card. Incidentally, like all those festive sequins.
