Nautical themed card using the July Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp. The sentiment heat embossed on vellum really helps it stand out against the patterned paper background. Todays card uses the July Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp. The Sailing set included in the kit has fabulous, easy to colour, iconic images. I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black on White card and Copic coloured before trimming out and layering on a vellum panel. The sentiment is stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder before stitching to a panel of the Authentique patterned paper.

Stamping the sentiment on the vellum allows it to shine. If I’d stamped directly on the patterned paper the sentiment would’ve got a bit lost in the pattern. This way you get hints of the paper behind but can still easily read the words :D

I accented with wood veneer stars, a few Sparkling Clear sequins and a banner cut from the same paper – I liked this tone on tone look. Finally everything is mounted on a White top folding card base.
