We are fast approaching the end of the school year and I’m using this gift box filled with a few goodies for my youngest’s teacher. The Milk Carton from Lawn Fawn is so cute and makes a quick and easy teacher gift. I White heat embossed two panels of Fog card with the Hero Arts Woodgrain by Lia stamp and ran them through with the Milk Carton die. Attach the two panels together, fold it up and bam you have the box made up in a jiffy. All I added was a patterned paper scalloped border using the Stitched Borders 1 die set from Pretty Pink Posh and a few sequins and that was the body of the box complete. The box is kept closed with a peg and into that is clipped an apple from Avery Elle’s Little Mind’s set.

I stamped the apple in Versafine Onxy Black and Clear heat embossed, die cut with the matching die and coloured with Copics before adding a really thick layer of Glossy Accents. Then commenced the usual dance of letting the Glossy Accents dry LOL, but I was good and ended up with a beautiful red glossy apple to clip into the peg. I did add foam adhesive under the apple too just to keep it in place. You may have seen me post this on Instagram when I coloured the apple which shows better that lovely thick layer of glossy accents.

I say each year that NEXT year I’m going to be more organised so I’m not running around like crazy and I say the same at Christmas time too LOL.  However,  no matter how organised I am, I don’t think I could ever really get totally on top of it. It’s just so busy with all the end of term activities and teacher gifts etc and then all the preparation for the holidays, time away with family etc. Maybe next year :D In the meantime I’m dreaming of a few long, lazy summer days when the craziness is over!
