I was recently guesting on the Hero Arts blog with the fun Playful Animals set combined with a couple of the new Lia Griffiths sets; Woodgrain and Friends.
I fell in love with the Playful Animals set as soon as I saw it and the hedgehog stood out to me as so fun to colour. Here’s a video showing how I made the card.
The hedgehog is stamped on a scalloped label cut from white card with the Tag and Label die and coloured with Copics (see the supplies list for colours). The label is mounted on a Stitched Square cut from patterned paper and in turn mounted on Fog card white heat embossed with the Woodgrain from Lia. The hello circle is from the Friends set by Lia and is stamped with the Ombre light to dark peach ink pad. Finally the panel is accented with Pale Pink Accent Pearls and a twine bow before being mounted on a card base covered in toning paper.
Once I’d made the card and had all the supplies out I had to make a tag too.
Here’s the two together. Cute right?
But I couldn’t stop there and before you knew it I had a whole family of hedgehogs!

Debbie these are adorable – love how you layered everything to make such a simple stamp outstanding. Was so thrilled to see a video and hope you do more in the future. Your projects never cease to inspire!!!!
Sounds as though hedgehogs are breeding in your craft area…and very handsome ones, they are, as are the card and those tags. Lovely video…you explain everything so well, you could do this for a living.
Very cute little hedgehogs. Great ideas!!
