Teacher appreciation thank you card - Debby Hughes - Lime Doodle Design - https://limedoodledesign.com/2015/05/teacher-appreciation/ #card #teacher # apple

It’s that time of year when my to-do list extends for pages as I try to get everything done as we spiral towards the end of the school year and the summer holidays! It’s still weeks away but the diary is full of end of year activities, sports days and the promise of those long summer days not too far away. Sigh …. but in the meantime, that to-do list LOL. Top of the agenda are the teacher appreciation cards and thank you gifts. I often gravitate towards a tradition apple theme as I love colouring in a nice apple and adding a good dose of shine with glossy accents :D For today’s card I chose the apple from Simon Says Stamp’s You’re So Sweet set, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, cut out with the matching dies and Copic coloured. A little Wink of Stella on the leaf and stem and then that shine – two coats of Glossy Accents to really give a thick, lush shine.

The apple is popped up on a Stitched Circle stamped in Black with a thank you sentiment from Circle Sayings which in turn is popped up on a Stitched Banner cut from Lawn Fawn paper. There’s more dimension as that banner is mounted on a panel of Fog card White heat embossed with the Dotted Alphabet set. Finally the Teacher die cut from Black is adhered along the side of the banner and a couple of enamel dots to finish. Phew! There’s a lot to this CAS card when you write it all out like that LOL. Despite the crazy going on here I’m still squeezing in a little crafty time so I will be back soon :D
