I love cats and that inbuilt arrogance they have! The Meowwwww set from Neat and Tangled captures that perfectly; can’t you just imagine this naughty kitty having stolen the fish, ball of wool or anything else that you want at the time just thinking ‘ha!’ with glee and sticking it’s tongue out LOL. Being quirky in nature I thought this set was great for CAS cards. I started by stamping the speech bubble on masking paper and trimming out to leave a slightly larger negative mask. I placed this on a Stitched Rectangle cut from White card and gently blended in Surf Blue ink. After lifting the mask I stamped the speech bubble, Meowwww, cat and fish in Memento Tuxedo Black. The cat and fish are coloured with Copics and then I used a Copic multiliner to draw a horizon behind the cat. I stamped everything again on masking paper, trimmed out and adhered to protect the images while splattering with some Heidi Swapp color shine in Black. The panel is foam mounted to a Smoke card base and then accented with the Happy Meowday stamped in Hot Lips and trimmed out. I used a wood veneer star and sequin to accent.
Having made a birthday card I thought I’d make a more all-purpose one too so I repeated the process but moved the cat slightly more central and used Mint ink for the background to the speech bubble.
