Wasn’t the Mega Hop from Simon Says Stamp yesterday fun?! If you’ve not had chance to hop along yet, you can start the hop at Simon’s Blog. I adore the new Baby Party Animals set I used yesterday and had to include the cute pig in this card using lots of masking :D First off I stamped the pig and banner in Memento Tuxedo Black on a panel of White card and coloured with Copics. Then they’re stamped again on Masking Paper, trimmed out and adhered over the top. Using 3M blue painters tape I masked a rectangle on the card so that the pig was overlapping one edge.

I treated the white card with an EK Success Powder Tool before stamping the stars from Falling Backgrounds in Versamark and Clear heat embossed. I blended Distress Inks over the rectangle using the Mini Foam Tool before splattering the area with a solution of Perfect Pearls to give an even starrier sky.

As it turns out, I’d masked an area of the white panel which nestled perfectly into one of the Stitched Rectangle dies – don’t you just love a happy coincidence! Having die cut the panel I also ran some white card through with the Baby word die and popped that over the inked panel extending the end of the word by stamping the flourish image from the set. A couple of sequins finished everything off. I don’t think I can make a card at the moment without adding at least a couple of sequins!
