The Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit hit my doormat yesterday and I had to break into box straight away to get the enclosed Big Birthday Wishes stamp set inky! My youngest is going to a party on Sunday and this set is just perfect for boys cards – fab font, big sentiments to really take centre stage and a few accompanying images to accessorise :D Here’s a look at the kit as a whole with it’s bright card colours, kraft/gold papers, rub ons (both gold and brights), delicious graduated colour washi, gold star brads; yup it’s another jam-packed kit this month!
Despite the hit of pink in this kit, it is also an easy one to adapt for boys. I stamped the ‘Yay!’ in Orange Peel on the white card from the kit, stamped the rest of the sentiment in Smoke underneath and then the balloon in Surf Blue. I drew in the balloon string with a marker and the trimmed the panel with the A2 carved curved edge die so that I could mount the panel on a card base and have some bright patterned paper showing. A few enamel dots and a couple of sequins finished off this super simple card :D
The April Card Kit is available for reserve at the moment – the West Coast dock issues caused a slight delay in some of the kit supplies arriving but shipping of the kit will begin on March 23rd :D You can also get a subscription to the Card Kit and so make sure you get a kit each month :)

That Yay is such fun stamp, and I can see it becoming a “go to” sentiment in my craft room. Thanks for always showcasing the SSS kits in exciting ways!

What a fun card!
Yay! What a great card for a boy! And I agree, they’ll probably never notice that hint of pink…
Awesome inspiration! Thanks for sharing!
Fabulous colors and design – Yay indeed ;oP
Debby,
I really like your card. I think I am going to have to purchase my first SSS Card kit this month.
Well that deserves a Yay!
This is a good kit for boys. Lots of versatility in this one. Your masculine card is a winner.
