Day three of Clearly Besotted sneaky peeks :D I think Clearly Besotted are the best at beautiful fine-lined flowers and my favourite way to stamp them is in Versamark and white heat embossed; the white I feel is much softer and elegant than a darker outline. And elegant certainly fits the Just Darling set with its lovely images and sentiments. I chose the Mother sentiment as, here in the UK, Mother’s Day is just around the corner :D

I debated which colouring media to reach for but then decided I haven’t used pencils on kraft for a while and I thought it would really suit a yellow daffodil. I cut a Stitched Rectangle of Neenah desert storm for the image, white heat embossing the flower and the sentiment in one go.

I pulled out Prismacolor pencils and rummaged through my set pulling out all the shades of yellow and mustard for the flower and all the greens for the leaves and stem. I also added in white for the highlights and black and brown to add more depth to the shadows. I did add a coating of Wink of Stella and a sprinkling of enamel dots before mounting the panel over patterned paper and pegged on to a white card base.

I have another project for tomorrow before the new release goes live at 10pm UK time (5pm EST) over at Clearly Besotted and Simon Says Stamp :D In the meantime, for more fun peeks check out what Stephanie, the Design Team and our guests for the month have been up to over at Stephanie’s blog :D
