I wanted to use the new Simon Says Stamp Crosses die set in a symbolic but simple way. I cut one of the crosses from the set from wood veneer and rubbed a little Frayed Burlap ink around the edges before adding a simple burlap twine bow. Using Gansai Tambi paints, I loosely watercoloured a panel for the background and die cut the Easter die from white card. I wasn’t sure whether to leave it like that but in the end I felt the background needed a little more so I also die cut the Calliope Flourish and tucked that in behind the cross.
The sentiment from the matching Rejoice set is stamped in Smoke ink and finally a few clear sequins dotted here and there :D The panel is mounted on a top folding Neenah solar white card base. Quick and simple, but that cross just takes centre stage so beautifully :D
I’m really enjoying the Hop To It! release, here’s a few of the other cards I’ve recently made with it.
