The new Simon Says Stamp Hop To It release is live and we have a hop (more on that below) to celebrate! What a fun release with a little something for everyone from Easter and Spring florals, to cute sets I can’t wait to colour and some motivational ones too! Here’s a quick look; I always like to see a new release laid out this way and I hope it’s helpful for you too :D
I’ve got two cards to share today using the new release. First up is this watercoloured floral card. The Artful Flowers set is so beautifully elegant. There are some solid images in the set that can be stamped with the line images over the top but I chose to simply stamp the line images on watercolour card in Versamark and White heat emboss. Firstly I stamped three flowers onto the panel, wet each petal in turn and then let the water take the intensely pigmented colours of the Gansai Tambi paints and blend them together :D After which I stamped and trimmed out a couple more flowers to add a little more dimension and fill in some of the gaps.
The set comes with a couple of lovely sentiments; I stamped the ‘Thinking Of You’ in Versamark on Bazzill vellum and White heat embossed then wrapped the vellum around the watercoloured panel. I blinged things up a little with Star Dust Stickles for the flower centres, a touch of Zig wink of stella for the petals and a good sprinkling of sequins :D The panel is mounted on a sturdy Neenah 110lb card base.
My next card takes us from elegant florals to clean and simple yoga! I love the characters in the new Work Out set, so perfect for a little Copic colouring :D The image is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut out with the matching die. I took my colouring cue from the Heidi Swapp patterned paper and mixed a little hot pink vest under a turquoise top and dark grey leggings.
I love encouraging sentiments and they go so well with this motivating set. I stamped the top line of the sentiment in Black and the lower line in, of course, Hot Lips on a scrap of white card and trimmed one end into a banner and tucked the other end under the image. The panel is accented with a few enamel dots and then mounted on a Cotton Candy card base.
