I love to see cards with a stamped background pattern and tried my hand with the new Recipe For Love set from Clearly Besotted Stamps. May Sukyong Park is fabulous at this technique and looking at my attempt compared to May then maybe I need to have the images closer together. Hmmm something to try another time :D
For today I took a retro feeling colour combo of Sunshine, Surf Blue and Fresh Peach and stamped the larger images on a Neenah solar white panel first before filling in with the smaller ones. To fill in some of the gaps further I used two little heart stamps from the previously released Design A Tree set. The sentiment is stamped in Black on a white strip and foam mounted over the panel and then the panel is mounted on top folding Neenah card base.
The second card is a pared down version as I liked the layout of the stamps on their stamp sheet and so replicated that but just readjusting slightly to fit in the sentiment too :D To pull out the lovely colours I added another couple of matching handmade envelopes from my stash of Bazzill 12×12 card stock.
I’ve tried to tidy up a little during the holidays; what is it about this time of year that gets us tidying and organising! I know I’m not the only one as I see everyones pictures on Instagram :D My aim is to learn to let go this year as I can be a bit of a hoarder! I’m slowly going through my supplies and putting for sale retired sets, donating a lot of odds and ends that I’m just not going to get around to using. It feels so good!
Before I go, just a reminder that the new Clearly Besotted release will be going live at 10pm UK time (5pm EST) and you can buy direct from Clearly Besotted Stamps and from Simon Says Stamp and I will update my supply lists when the new sets are for sale :D
