Warning this is a photo heavy post as I had so much fun with the January Pretty Pink Posh release combining it with some new to me products from Winnie & Walter :D So lets dive straight in!

Can Pretty Pink Posh really be one? It seems such a short time ago that Paulina was opening her shop. I’m so delighted at how successful Pretty Pink Posh has been and look forward to seeing more PPP delights in the coming year :D

I love making envelopes special at the moment and when I saw the new Pocket Border die I knew it would make the perfect finishing touch to the inside of a special envelope. I cut white Bazzill card 6″ x 10 ½” and scored at ¾” down the long sides and 3 ½” and 7″ across the width. This gives the basis for a quick and easy envelope for a 4 bar card. I trimmed away the side folds apart from the middle panel and then ran the front flap through the die cutter with the previously released Stitched Borders 2 die adding Fog card cut with the same die as contrast.

I used the new Pocket Border die to cut the inside panel of the envelope, allowing the card to be inserted and removed with ease :D Once the basis of the envelope was complete I decorated using flowers from Winnie & Walter’s The Big, The Bold and The Extras set. In fact for all the elements of this project I decorated in the same way, stamping the flowers in Versamark on Vellum and white heat embossed before watercolouring and once dry trimming out. They are then complemented by the ‘love’ die cut from white using The Big, The Bold and The Happy Cutaways set. A splattering of Heidi Swapp gold and a sprinkling of 4mm watermelon and metallic gold sequins finished things off. I’ve realised since making these that Jennifer McGuire got a similar look with these flowers by colouring on the back with markers :D

Once the envelope was complete I thought I’d best make a card to go in it! Anyone who calls by here regularly knows I am addicted to tags, so I cut the new Stitched Duo 3 dies to create two tags and decorated as before. One was to act as the focal point on this top folding Fog card. For the other tag I decorated as before and then cut a second tag from Fog card to layer underneath.

With everything all matching nicely, the tags are threaded with May Arts twine and the same twine used to keep the envelope closed. All in all there’s now a card with decorated envelope and a matching tag to go on a present :D

You can pick up the new products from Pretty Pink Posh and also from Simon Says Stamp.
