Oh my goodness Winnie & Walter are having a fun birthday bash this week to celebrate their January release as well as turning one! Today on the W&W blog there’s the première of the new The Big, The Bold and Party set and I’m delighted that I got to play with this set too :D Just a note that the new products will be released on 30 January at 10pm CST and I will add links then. The set continues in the popular series of big and bold script sentiments with smaller accompanying sentiments. Here, take a little look:
So totally fun and perfect for celebrations from beginning to end! I thought I’d concentrate on the beginning of a party with the invitation :D I stamped the big ‘invitation’ in Black ink on three Neenah solar white panels and then added different treatments to each panel.
For the first card, I chose my favourite bright and happy colour combination of Hot Lips, Maliblue and Sunshine inks and stamped supporting words around the base of the large sentiment. Interspersed among the words are stars from the Scenery: Party Hangover set which will be showcased later in the week on the Winnie & Walter blog. A few Pretty Pink Posh sequins add the required amount of party bling and then the panel is mounted on a hot pink panel and then on a top folding Neenah card base.
The next card started out in the same way with the large sentiment stamped in black. This time there are just a few accompanying sentiments and then the streamer image from Scenery: Party Hangover stamped across the top. More sequins and then this panel was mounted on yellow card and then a Neenah card base.
For the last card I wanted to create some colourful speech bubbles. Being a little OCD I wanted the colours to match perfectly with the rest of the cards and so I rubbed my inks pads directly onto white card then used Talk Bubbles 2 dies from Simon Says Stamp. Only thing is, ink takes a long time to dry and I wanted to white heat emboss my sentiments on the inked bubbles. I waited, ran my heat tool over them, waited some more, test ran by sprinkling some embossing powder, still the powder was sticking, waited some more and heat gun again. Finally I stamped the sentiments in Versamark and white heat embossed but to be honest I’d have been better off waiting until the next day for the ink to truly dry as the embossing is far from what I’d like. Ah well! Once again a sprinkling of sequins and then the panel was mounted on Audrey Blue card and a Neenah card base. Finally, to bring out the colour and party spirit even more I added matching envelopes :D
Now don’t forget to join in all the fun over at the Winnie & Walter blog. There is a lot to see – as well as a look at the new release there’s the Big Giveaway (January’s release) and their GIGANTIC GIVEAWAY of every single stamp set they release in 2015!!!!
