I had a lovely couple of days enjoying my Mum’s visit however she left on the train this morning :( To distract myself and also to ignore the winter bugs which are trying to take hold, I dived into the February Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp. This kit is seriously jam-packed with so many options to play with. I went for the Crate Paper patterned papers and rub ons; die cutting various papers with the Stitched Rectangles, Large Tags and Medium Tags dies. The rub ons smooth on like a dream and I added one of the numerous hearts from the set along with the Valentine’s sentiment.
The die cuts are layered with a Calliope Flourish cut from glitter paper and embellished with rhinestones and all are held together with a little peg. Behind the die cuts, a piece of Marshmellow card gives a gradient of colour by misting with Heidi Swapp color shine in Coral and that panel is popped on a top folding card base made with Khaki card from the kit.
Be quick if you want to pick up a February Card Kit; you can buy the kit individually for $29.95 or as a monthly subscription for $24.95 :D
I’ll leave you with a picture of one of the coffee stops we took while my Mum was here. The weather was atrocious with wind, snow and bitter temperatures and the only option was to jump from one warm refuge to another, which actually made for a lovely couple of days :D
