Lots of fun going on today with a Simon Says Stamp hop! Simon Says Stamp’s released their Better Together products back in December and although it is necessary to have those new products out there at that time of year often as not we have other things on our minds with Christmas and the holidays. So what better time, now that the New Year festivities have calmed down, than a hop to take a good look at the new products :D
The Better Together release celebrates life. Sharing hugs, sharing love, spending time together, giggling, laughing, expressing how much we care for each other are great ways to celebrate our lives. Even though we are often physically far apart from our friends and family, we can connect through words and cards are such a delightful way for us to reach out to one another.
I wanted to make this post bright and happy and what better way than to pair the new release with some fun Lawn Fawn papers! As a base for the project I reached for my favourite Gift Card Envelope die and then piled on the goodness with elements from the Heartfelt Notes set and it’s matching Valentines dies. The hearts are stamped in Hot Lips ink on Neenah solar white and die cut out. Working from top left clockwise, the spotty envelope also has the sweet sentiment stamped in Sunshine ink and mounted on the base shape from the set die cut from white. Next up, for the yellow envelope, the heart was accompanied by the Cloud Bank die – the outline cut from white and then the clouds from more of the Lawn Fawn papers. The little bird envelope has the heart popped up on the Hello sentiment stamped on a Talk Bubbles 2 die and I also added a little tiny heart from the set stamped in Sunshine yellow and covered with Glossy Accents. Finally, for the blue envelope, the heart is mounted on the sun from Color & Sunshine and cut with it’s matching die. The sentiment on this envelope is from the Locking Hearts set, stamped in Cobblestone and trimmed out.
There’s a good dose of sequins to add to the happiness, the small Watermelon and Aquamarine ones are from Pretty Pink Posh and the larger yellow ones are from a Lawn Fawn pack. The envelopes are so versatile – a little note, a gift card or a few jelly bean hearts fit perfectly! Note, a few jelly beans may have been sacrificed to sustain the photographer ;)
Here’s a closer look at one of the envelopes, not that I’m showing favouritism or anything LOL. Before I move on to the hop details, a heads up that Simon are holding one of their popular Copic sales until 30th January – 25% off when using code COPIC at checkout :D
